Review

You may have heard of the Tea Tree product line at The Body Shop, ranging from cleansers to lotions but recently I picked up the pore minimiser and have been using it for a while. I have to say I like the product. It seems to do what it claims. I did notice my skin looked smoother than before. It does reduce the size of the pores but donít expect the pores to disappear as no product can do that. A small amount goes a long way without feeling greasy. When you apply, it has a strong medicinal smell but it vanishes within a few seconds so nothing to worry about there. I have a pretty oily skin and was quite happy with the way it kept my skin mattified. Good to use by itself or as a makeup primer. Apply the moisturiser followed by pore minimiser.

Bottom Line

Does what it claims. Worth a try!

Lip Scrub for soft, smooth and supple lips

Lip Scrub for soft, smooth and supple lips

Chapped lips !!! could be really annoying and makes any lipstick seem unsightly on your lips. Exfoliating your lips takes 2mins and will result in soft, smooth kissable lips. There are umpteen number of lip scrubs available in the market with fancy flavours to it. One such is Lush bubble gum lip scrub, smells lovely and is one of my favourite too. You may ask is it really necessary? Scrubbing your lips is, but buying a lip scrub isnít.

You can use an inexpensive homemade scrub which works equally good ūüôā

Just mix a little sugar and olive oil on your palm.Sugar acts as an exfoliator and olive oil a moisturizing agent. Pat it on your lips and rub it in small circles to remove the dead skin. Dab on some lip balm to moisturize your lips.

Note: This step is a must-do especially when you plan to apply a red lipstick. Red lipstick calls for so much more attention to your lips. And nothing is more sexy than a perfect red lip !

My lip care routine: I usually do it once a week at night before going to bed. I use Lush bubble gum lip scrub to exfoliate followed by The Body shop lip butter.

Tips for a Perfect Eyebrow

Eyebrows are a small but a significant aspect of makeup. Even with the most fabulous make up if you neglect your brows, your look can seem incomplete or unpolished.

Eyebrows not only frame your face, it also softens your facial features, instantly adds femininity, and brightens your face. It shows emotions too, so if done improperly you could look sad, confused or even amused at all times. Who wants that? So here are a few tips to get the shape right!

Brow.jpg

A. The inner edge of the brow should be in line with the outside of your nostril.
B. The highest point of your arch should be just at the outer edge of the eyeball.
C. When doing the outer brow imagine that there is a line going from the outer part of your nostril up past the outer edge of your eye (C).. This is where your brow should taper off.

Products and Technique

Once you are done with the basic brow shaping. You can go ahead and fill it in for a more groomed look. The fuller the brows, more youthful you will look. You can either use a brow pencil or an eye shadow to do it. Always use a colour that is a shade lighter than your brows for a more natural look. For e.g. never use a black colour even if your hair is black, go for a dark brown instead. And the most important aspect is to use feather strokes or flicks so that it mimics the natural hair growth and brush it up with the spooly brush as you go. This will help remove harsh strokes and excess product as well. Avoid filling the brows too much towards the inner corner and concentrate more on the middle and outer part of the brows to keep it looking natural. Finally finish it up with a brow gel/ brow wax to keep them put.

Nothing looks tackier than penciled eyebrows
